O taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man that trusts in Him. Psalms 34:8

Hi. We are Glen and Allison Branon and we were both born, raised and lived in Vermont. We have been married since 2004 and between us we have been blessed with eight children and eleven precious grandchildren.

The Branon's have been in the maple sugaring business for over six generations. The pride of the Branon heritage to make excellent maple syrup is what we strive for. Their love and knowledge of making maple syrup has been passed on through the generations. That's a legacy to continue and to pass on to next generations.

Making maple syrup has changed through the years. New technology has made it possible to produce more syrup faster, but ultimately the amount of sap and the grade of syrup made is in God's control. Freezing nights and about 10 degrees above freezing makes for ideal sap running days. Only God is in control of the weather.

New technology such as vacuum pumps that suck the sap from the trees and reverse osmosis machines that take the water out of the sweet sap along with all stainless steel evaporators and equipment help  to make the process more efficient. The grades can change if you don't boil the sap as soon as possible, perferably the same day it comes in. Cleaning the evaporator after every boiling also contributes to better quality syrup.

We work hard to get our maple sugaring business ready for each new season. The 100+ acres that we own in Waterville, VT was Glen's parents, Ralph's and Mary Theresa's land. While Glen and his brothers grew up, their dad tapped 13,000 trees in three sugarbushes in Waterville, Bakersfield and Belvidere.

We purchased Ralph's Waterville sugarbush in 2010 with the dream of continuing his legacy by working hard to produce excellent maple products, while enjoying our family along the way.
